Manzano Red is a distinctive local Albuquerque terracotta clay, sourced from the Manzano Mountains. This rugged earthenware is ground and airfloated, then enhanced with 10% fine sand from Placitas, Texas talc for improved glaze adherence, and 1% Taos mica for added visual appeal. Ideal for firing to Cone 02, it embodies the authentic spirit of New Mexico's clay heritage. Perfect for creating durable, vibrant pieces with a touch of regional character.
