A one quart crucible made of a high fire ceramic refractory.  Suitable for glass or aluminum or bronze. Handmade in old  Mexico. Has a small hole in the bottom that can be plugged with cement. (included)

The hole in the bottom is used to melt glass, for glassmaking or for making frit.
