NATURE'S DETAILS WORKSHOP WITH JESSICA ARCHIBEQUE
Jessica Archibeque will be taking over the studio for a
2-day workshop. Nature's Details: Sculpting Insects, Nature, and Altering
Pottery Vessels will help you discover the art of elevating wheel-thrown and
hand-built pottery through the intricate addition of three-dimensional insect
sculptures. Drawing inspiration from her signature style, Jessica will guide
participants in seamlessly integrating sculptural elements onto pottery forms,
transforming functional pieces into captivating works of art. Students will
learn techniques for creating lifelike insect forms and exploring texture,
proportion, and attachment methods to ensure durability and visual harmony.
Perfect for beginners who have the basics under their belt and seasoned
ceramicists, this class offers a unique opportunity to merge natural motifs
with the timeless craft of pottery.

complement sculptural additions (demonstration only).
● Design principles to seamlessly integrate handbuilt
elements with wheel-thrown forms.
Note: Students will need to bring their own greenware pieces
(at the leather-hard stage but more on the “wetter side” for this class, as
wheel throwing and trimming will be covered in demonstrations only to
accommodate more people.

Time: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. with a break for lunch
Cost: $250/person Participants: 25 max, minimum of 5 to run
the workshop

Within 30 days of the workshop we will charge a 6% restocking fee.
Within 7 days of the Workshop it will be a 50% cancellation fee.
