Description and Applications

AMTAL C-98 is a white-firing talc that is ideal for
traditional, refractory and technical ceramic applications.
Traditional applications include:

• Wall and Floor Tiles
• Tableware
• Sanitaryware
• Electrical Insulators
• Porcelain
• Hobbyware

As a flux in high alumina ceramics, Sanitary ware and
dinnerware, AMTAL C-98 produces less porous bodies
at lower temperatures.

AMTAL C-98 can also be used in technical ceramics
where it functions as the major silicate material
replacing clays and feldspars in lower grade alumina
products such as steatite ceramics and low-expansion
cordierite materials.
AMTAL C-98 can also be used as an economical source
